How it started
Chambersburg Area Council for the Arts (CFTA) was established by a group of local leaders who had a vision that ART is a necessity of life and should be affordable to ALL. And in our community, we have grown to help innumerable families experience art through IceFest, Missoula Theater and countless other programs over the past 35 Years.

Every organization is challenged to raise funds in today's environment, especially those which can sometimes be deemed "unnecessary". Art & music have been removed from some schools and we are sometimes the only avenue for children. Adults find us for their children or for their own mental health outlets. ART is needed, more than ever and we need YOU.
