Nicole Troup will teach students how to draw pets in graphite pencil from start to finish. As a successful commissioned pet portrait artist, Troup can teach the fundamental skills needed to draw an animal portrait through demos and step-by-step instruction. Students are asked to bring in a photo reference of their dog or cat. (Head shot preferred). If you don’t have a pet, but would still like to take the class, Troup will bring in photo references for free use or you may bring in your own photo of a dog or cat. Art principles taught will cover pencil technique, blocking in, proportions, fur technique, blending, contrast and more.Call for materials list, and bring lunch!
Let your children discover and develop their inner creativity with several art projects and techniques to be explored over the course of 4 weeks.This class will meet the PA Standards 9.1.3.A/B/C/D/E/F, introducing young art students to a variety of mediums and styles, and brief experiences with art history and terminology, as they create original artwork that reflects both their own ideas and the influence of famous artists throughout history. All materials will be provided.
